Top Ten Celebrity Wedding Dresses
August 2, 2010
Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea! Yes, the former first daughter was married this past weekend in Rhinebeck, New York. Among all the hoopla about how much the wedding cost, who attended and how late Madeleine Albright rocked the dance floor, I saw that the bride wore Vera Wang. And she was stunning. It got me thinking about other stunning celeb wedding dresses. Here are my personal Top 10.
10. Portia DeRossi donned a ballerina-inspired ballgown for her 2008 wedding to Ellen DeGeneres.
9. Oscar winning actress Grace Kelly set the standard for elegance when she wed Monaco’s Prince Rainier III in 1956.
8. Cindy Crawford rocked this body-baring slip dress by John Galiano for her 1998 beach nuptials.
7. In 2009 Milla Jovovich donned this goddess, gold-infused sheath. She gets extra style points for the gold headpiece and flowers in her hair.
6. In 1999 Courtney Cox married David Arquette in this simple, sleek sheath paired with a playful polka-dotted veil.
5. It might have taken her twice to find the right husband, but Tori Spelling found two stunning wedding gowns. For her first wedding in 2004 to Charlie Shanian, she went for a kind of Victorian-Indian-flapper look with tons of intricate beading. The second time around, she went for a much simpler eyelet dress for her private beach ceremony in Figi with Dean McDermott.
4. Another former first daughter, Jenna Bush, wowed us in the Oscar de la Renta gown. It was the perfect amount of no-fuss elegance for the 2008 nuptials held on her family’s ranch in Crawford, Texas. Think she’s wearing her boots underneath?
3. Simple. Sleek. Silk. No one mastered understated elegance better than Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Her elbow-length gloves are her only accessory and her clean, fresh face is free of flashy make-up. In 1996, she was the epitome of modern.
2. Gwen Stefani rocked the Bubble Pop Electric look in this pink and white confection at her 2002 wedding to fellow rocker Gavin Rossdale. I couldn’t imagine a more fitting gown for this Harijuku Lover. The antique lace veil is the perfect topper.
1. In my opinion Top honors go to heiress Ivanka Trump. In a world where girls are baring tons of skin whenever they can and taking fashion tips from the likes of Britney Spears, or worse, Snookie (don’t get me started), Ivanka’s modest lace-covered gown was a breath of fresh air.
Enjoy your week!

Genuinely definitely very good website article which has got me considering. I never looked at this from your point of view.
woot, thank you! I’ve finally came across a website where the owner knows what they’re talking about. You know how many results are in Google when I check.. too many! It’s so annoying having to go from page after page after page, wasting my day away with tons of owners just copying eachother’s articles… ugh. Anyway, thankyou for the information anyway, much appreciated.
